Funding a GLAD STEM Shelter in Haiti
GLAD Academy has officially begun construction on the very first GLAD STEM Shelter in Haiti, This groundbreaking project marks a major step forward in our mission to expand access to quality science and technology education for underserved communities.
Once completed, the facility will provide Haitian students with hands-on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math—empowering the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders. GLAD donated bilingual books to children in the remote Dabie Mountain region sharing both love and knowledge. Through reading, the children can broaden their horizons and, through learning, ignite hope.
Supporting Cultural Education in Canada
GLAD Academy donated 235 of 3,020 bilingual books—worth CAD 3,164—to ECMCC and Meyonohk School, enriching language learning and fostering cultural understanding.
Through this initiative, an estimated 10,000+ individuals — including students, families, and community members — now have greater access to culturally relevant educational resources.
At ECMCC, these books support programming for multicultural families and seniors, while at Meyonohk School, they enhance classroom libraries and bilingual education efforts, helping students strengthen their language skills and cultural identity.
